New ITX build budget $1k

Hi, gotta build a new ITX build for my cousin. This is my first time building ITX.

Narrowed down to these parts:
CPU/MB: i5 6500 + ASROCK B150M ITX $448
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 2133mhz 16gb $135 ($130 from tradepac)
SSD: Samsung 850 evo 256gb $159 ($133 from tradepac)
CASE: -
PSU: -

Might get ASROCK H170M ITX AC ($457 from tradepac) if he needs wifi and I already have a graphics card.

I have seen a lot of recommendation for MSI boards but seriously after a bad experience with a few MSI products (mb and graphics card) i rather not.

Worse case scenario tradepac doesnt have stock, then PCThemes will cost me $742 which leaves me $258 for the casing and PSU.

Need recommendations on casing and PSU.

nah i dun think u should get anything more than H170 for itx build. since u dun have any lanes for other beside wifi. (and m.2) and btw would u need a M.2 slots?

as for case do u want a slim or cube type case??? (cube will be cheaper though)

Hmm I see so H170 is bad? Nope I do not need any M.2 slots.

I suppose cube since its cheaper.

I didn't say its bad. Just that for itx board board most of the PCIe lane are under utilised. Because there is only 1 pcie x16 labe which is provided for the CPU. Den the chip set extra lanes will be left unused or under utilised. Even u get z170, it will be about the same as u buying a b150 or h110 itx board. (But of cos most of the features on z170 still will be retain.)

Unless u requires h170 board features den by all means.

Ahh I understand what you mean.

It's just that this is the only ASRock itx board with wifi...unless i go for MSI which is the board with the better features etc.

Guess i'll just go with b150 then.

You can get dirt cheap SFX no-brand PSUs. For branded ones you can take a look at Silverstone (300 or 450W) or the FSP 450W. Going for the higher wattage should set you back $90+ ($130+ if you're looking at Silverstone's modular version).

As for the case it depends on your space restrictions, choice of CPU cooler (default?) and whether you're going for a dedicated GPU (size etc). Make sure the cases you're looking at have at least some space for cable management.

Yeah I'm going default cooler and dedicated graphics card.
Silverstone 450w sfx sounds good.

Does it come together with their case if I buy it?

Currently just a 750ti from old rig, will be looking at gtx 1060 in the future (possibly).

Hmmm TT core v1 looks like can fit an atx psu.
Cm elite 110a the gpu only can fit 21cm...that's too short I think

PSU: TT Core v1 ($79)
PSU: SF LEADEX 550w Silver ($119)
