Tokyo-Osaka Hokuriku will be good for those wanting to cover Chubu region. currently none of the other passes covers all the way to Tokyo so this will be useful for those wanting to start from Tokyo.
but this pass is only useful if the places ur going are all covered. if not it may be more worth it to get the 7-day all japan pass for abt 5000yen more.

Tohoku pass seems a bit less worth compared to the previous JR East pass. for 3000yen more, the previous pass covers the areas covered by both Tohoku pass and Nagano Niigata pass. but if is good for ppl who wants to cover specific places and dun need the full coverage of the entire region
