Recent laptops are similar to Ultrabook where they are thin and light, but the bottom cover is all sealed and screwed.

Battery, RAM and disk drive are all inside.
Battery is built in and non detachable unlike laptops a few years ago.

Can we still add RAM (any free memory slot inside?) or switch the disk drive inside for SSD or higher capacity HDD?

Yea it should still be possible. :)
If the ram is not soldered to its slot / mobo.

What you simply have to do is to remove said screw cap / sticker (pictured) then undo all the screws. Screw Bits are often simply Philips or at times, esp for business ranges torx bits.

Note that ram used could be harder to find low powered ones such as ddr3l for instance

Technically yes as well.
In some others, there are two, but one slot is beneath the keyboard. Therefore one has to dismantle everything to get to it, making it a pain in the ... to upgrade the ram

Be mindful of warranty sticker.

Opening up the case within warranty period will void it immediately?

I would presume that laptop manufacturers do not expect or allow their customers to open up their laptops going forward. Laptops are meant to be used as they are out of the factory. No changing of RAM or storage drive.

If one opens up their laptop, they would probably not uphold the warranty given.
