Hi guys. it's been super long since I dabbled in rig building. totally lost touch with the new stuff nowadays.

Can you guys recommend a build for casual gaming, titles such has PUBG and GTA V. budget around $1000 to $1200.

having looked around I realised this budget probably only enough to get just the CPU. I might be wrong too.

yup. given the current budget, its hard to include for other peripherals.. if really on tight budget, then you might want to give marketplace a try..

Motherboard need to make sure from seller than it is Ryzen 2000-series ready. Usually come with a sticker on the motherboard box.

Try to get used parts like GPU that are under warranty, stuff like motherboard hdd psu get new will be better.

(this same chip seems rated to work at 3200 and not 2933 on MSI QVL. So you can try your luck when o/c'ing)

You might need to tune down settings to low for 1080p (PUBG) using the iGPU in Ryzen 2400G. However it works wonders if playing esports titles such as CSGO, League or Dota 2.

I would suggest getting the 4 core 4 thread Ryzen 2200g with a dedicated graphics card within your budget.

For RAM, an 8GB RAM running at dual memory @ 2666/3000 mhz is sufficient for gaming. I personally have never exceeded 8GB memory with Game + Whatsapp + Chrome with 20 tabs. Unless you stream and do multi task workloads like video editing, 16 GB ram is overkill for casual usage.

SATA vs NVMe. NVMe more expensive and suited to those doing heavy workloads where you constantly read and write large amounts of data. In real world usage, there is very little noticeable difference. Can shave off a few bucks here. Brands like the Samsung, Crucial, Kingston, Transcend are all good to go. The form factor m.2 or 2.5" depends on your preferences, no performance difference.
