New PSU problem

Hi, I replace my rig's old PSU 2 days ago with a new thermaltake 750W PSU,It worked out fine, but today when i on my PC, it started to have smoke coming out and caused a black out... is this the PSU's problem or something else??

I would think be a faulty PSU that you've got there. The Thermaltake 750w has built in overcurrent and overvoltage protection just like any modern day PSUs do. Should have gone into protection mode before blowing when there's a short circuit somewhere on the outputs. All you can do now is to RMA the unit.
