Everything is fine. There are blocks for the gpu. Might wanna try alphacool blocks. Looks damn solid.

RAMS if you wanna do overclocking. Get a tighter timing rams and a higher frequency rams such as 1866mhz and above.

Psu ax860i a bit ex. But if you really want a platinum grade you can consider seasonic.

Enthoo pro will looks good to have. But the windows may not entice. You may not see your nice wc setup well.

As for 750D it is slightly smaller. But should be able to see your wc as the windows are bigger.

Appreciate all the comments and opinions.

Looks like I will go for the G-Skill RipJawX 1866MHz CL9 @ 249SGD

Seasonic is 20SGD Cheaper for the Plat grade so I dont really mind.

Will OC the 2 cards but not too extreme so the voltage lock is not a concern.

Alright, my friend recommended me to go for the Asus VII Hero instead, is it better for OC? Probably will run at round 4.5ghz

It seems like only EK has waterblock for the MSI GTX 970 at the moment.

Do you guys get your stuffs from PerformancePCS? Any other sites to recommend?

No difference in oc. Take whatever board also no difference.

4.5ghz if we take cpu silicon lottery into consideration, and for say, you get a above 50% tier of a good silicon chip.

You can use even a b85 board to oc it till 4.5ghz.

It is not like you take a up there board it will give you extra 0.2ghz. You would probably get slightly difference in voltages depending on the boards power delivery system, but you wont get more frequency bump.

And to conclude further, the additional 0.1ghz higher also wont bring any form of benefits to gaming.

Not sayig you cant buy asus boards. Is purely your choice and up to you to decide.

Subscribe to PPC, wait for them to announce any discounts in their newsletter, and hoot ur stuff during that period.

Can go further if u have OCBC frank cc.. Another 6% off.

I would recommend hooting rads, res, tubing, gpu/cpu blocks first. Make sure all can fit according to your layout b4 hooting fittings.

Why you like overclocking so much?

It doesn't help much in gaming performance. The performance gain is not worth the money you pay for.
Rather get a non K i5 cpu and basic B85 mobo while spending the rest on a good graphic card, then you will see significant improvement in gaming performance.

By the way, overclocking is like winning lottery. For example, i5 4690K cpu #1 can overclock to 4.7ghz while i5 4690K cpu #2 can only go up to 4.5ghz. Not all same specs cpu can achieve similar overclocking result. Getting a expensive/good quality motherboard doesn't help you achieve better overclocking results too.

Currently they have a promo for the Asus strix 970+water block @ 719.

Seems like a good deal:eek:

Be careful.

Check first. Anyway the gpu will cost around $550 range. So the block cost below $200.

Always check the quality of the blocks they are giving. Some blocks are none nickel plated and may corrode further after a certain period of time.

EK do have some people with corroded or worn off nickel plated and went back for RMA.
