Hi guys, I recall getting a forced update from windows 10 (around early Feb). Ever since then, the UI has changed totally. My bootup and program loading speed has slowed down by ten fold. Wondering is there any workaround?

By the way, I'm using a Samsung 850 Evo which I feel by no means is slow. Before the update, it was blazing fast.

Thanks in advance.

TS, you got other HDDs connected? If so, remove them and leave only OS SSD connected.

i managed to solve the issue, now everything becomes blazing fast again :)

to those who are affected, here's how:

1. update to latest graphics driver
2. disable fast boot in system

Good that your slowness issue is fixed.
Btw, I am using EVO 850 too in my 2 desktop rig, no such issue so far.

I experienced the slowness last night... My log was saying it was doing an update check.. A reboot will fix this.. Using a Samsung 960 evo 500GB using Nvme driver. Not sure if it will happen again.
