Hi.

I will be traveling to New York City in November.
(Hopefully the shutdown ends by then)

I am trying to find some local brands of menswear.
Rather than the usual few that we can find in Singapore(eg. uniqlo, h&m)

I am also seeking out for interesting places other than the common trademarks.

Anyone have any suggestions and recommendations ?

Oh hell yeah. If you want interesting brands, don't go to Woodbury. Get yourself down to some of the cool independent clothing stores in Lower Manhattan - Soho, Tribeca, Chelsea, and the East and West Villages are where you'll want to look.

Check out Nordstrom, Macy and Saks' Fifth Avenue. They have some brands not found in Singapore.

Dont worry too much about the shutdown - u still can take a river cruise around the Liberty island for photo opportunities..although the island itself will be closed.
