Newbie gaming rig

Hi i'm choosing parts for my gaming rig and im planning to buy it at the end of this year, but i don't know what parts to choose. My dad told me to pick out the parts and he'll give some store in sls to assemble. My budget is $1.5-$1.7k. The games i play are HoN, Dota2, l4d2, Fps. Please help

Well, you don't want to spend too much on processor with that budget. Invest more on graphics card is more worth it if you want. I think a core i5-4670 should be good enough for you. Together with at least a nVidia GTX 760. 16 GB 1600 mHz DDR3 Ram. And get a 240/256 GB SSD and another HDD. I should fit well within your budget and be more than enough for the games you play

Idk why, but somehow I feel AMD graphics card is better than nVidea..
