Newbie need Mirrorless Advice

Hi pros.
I am TOTALLY new to camera.
The only "camera" that I ever own is my phone.

Hopefully I can get some advice from expert users like yourself.

Im looking for something with the below specification:
.Easy to use function (I'll probably end up using only auto/scenery/video function)
.Portable, smaller the better
.Adjustable LCD screen for selfie
.Take clear video (1080p) with high fps (min 8fps)
.Builtin flash
.Long Battery life
.Portable stock lens, not bulky

Budget anything below $1200
Im not considering digital cam or DSLR. Just mirrorless cam.

Just FYI because Im getting married so Im thinking of getting a good mirrorless cam for all future use.

Sorry to highjack post but I'm sort of in the same situation as TS and strongly considering either the GX8 or the A6000

I know the A6000 is a lot cheaper now but the good lenses seem to be quite expensive while the M43 lenses are relatively cheaper.

GX8 also has a 4k video which is a plus.

What lens would you recommend getting for the GX8?

There is no "recommended" lens. It depends on your shooting style or what you like to shoot. If you have no idea, stick with standard zoom lens, shoot first and work your way from there.

Yes. Use the kit lens first. I know a lot of people bash the Sony 16-50mm kit lens but there is a lot going for it. It is compact and it pairs well with the A6000 using the processor to correct its flaws.

Was using Panasonic camera previously ... Don't waste the lens hence bought gx8
I'm Using 14mm, 25mm, 100-300mm, 14-42mm, 45-150mm

I suggest that you spend few hours on the Internet studying photography basics (ISO, Shutter speed, Aperture) and basic composition first.

Auto or scene modes will leave you very disappointed and you will be wondering why people with lousier cameras are taking nicer photos.

Also, why do you mention video at 8fps? Practically any camera that can record video does at least 24fps...
