Hi guys, finally finished purchasing my parts today and assembled them earlier but it couldn't boot. So I removed the gpu and disconnected most of the components except the psu and mb, and left the power switch header connected on the mb. Pc is still unable to power on. Any suggestions? TIA.

If fail
2) Do paper clip test
If fan did not turn,
3) SHOUT HELP!!!!

hmm paper clip test passed, psu powered up and started working =/
Double check the connection between the casing switch and the motherboard. If the connections are seated properly and the rig still cannot be switched on, it is safe to assume a DOA motherboard.

hi, I've checked a few times already. even tried to short the + and - power pins on the motherboard with a screwdriver but no luck. I just purchased the motherboard from pc themes yesterday, I assume that I can just bring the motherboard for them to check? Thanks.

Probably a DOA mobo then. Can go back to PC Themes and ask for a 1 to 1 exchange.

alright much appreciated. how about the processor and stock fan? Do i just leave it on the mb and bring it along?
I think that you will have to take them out, since you are just returning the mobo. This also means that you will have to get some thermal paste too since the pre-applied thermal paste is not reusable.
