The Nano has almost the same specs as the Fury X but uses only 1 8-pin connector? There has got to be some compromise somewhere if the Nano is using so much less power.

Honestly speaking this ironically makes Fury X a much better bargain with inclusion of AIO and more performance headroom, with same PCB and price. :s22:

Probably limited by power.

You bet there will be much throttling in clock given TDP and power limitation with the same clock speed as Fury X.

If they were to clock it moderately and give it a USD$479 tag, they will shine brighter than the tianjin explosion. :s22:

According to Anandtech quoting AMD, the Nano is designed to power throttle. Typical gaming speed will be around 900 MHz, putting it at about 85% Fiji X.

The higher than expected price is because the Nano uses specially binned chips for low TDP. This is meant to be the absolute best GPU for mini-ITX PCs.

This performance chart is provided by AMD themselves:

Note that they are comparing with "Hawaii" (aka R9-290X) rather than "Grenada" (aka R9-390X), which implies that it can be somewhere in between R9-290X and R9-390X or slightly faster than the latter, of which no way near to Fury X, or even cutted down Fury.

Slightly higher price like those niche mini GTX 970/960/R9-380 over their regular counterparts are fine. But that still doesn't justify a price tag equivalent to its top-end card, which offers you a free upgrade to AIO cooler and higher power headroom. It's just like HD 7970 introductory price back in 2012 all over again. That's absurd.

hahahahahahahaha wth :s13::s13::s13::s13:

But on a serious note, this is meant to be target at lan party pc or ITX HTPC builds, not for enthusiast or people who uses full/mid towers. This can also be a good alternative for those who uses OEM pcs and wishes to upgrade their GPU however have limited space due to OEM designed cases. The only drawback of this GPU is the steep price... Come on, AMD I know itx users are willing to spend more to get a sff, but this pricing for this performance is not worth it

So much for their fanboys with their claims of having AMD around to keep GPU price in check. :s8::s8::s8:
