Second hand get 5N, Brand new get 5R. Simple

For 5N can be had for $400 with kit lens second hand if you are considering.

Both are essentially similar cameras in terms of performance.
5R has Wifi can it can sync up to your phone or social media sites with Apps? Very handy if you ask me, I'm getting an EyeFi for my 5N just to do this.

5R also has phase detect in built, not exactly sure if it works for all lenses but this is essentially dSLR auto focus tech, super speedy but not as accurate, will benefit your videos as well!

So yeah all things considered. Second hand get 5N, Brand new get 5R.

My wife just bought a 5r (white) and she's loving it. The salesperson explained it to us that the difference is minor, just about the wi-fi and bluetooth function difference.

From one review i've read.. one major different is 5R has a better sensor than 5N. A tweak from Nex 7 sensor.

Anyhow, as casual shooter, i dont think we can detect the different on the photos tho...

There's no Bluetooth...

The other key improvement over 5N is the hybrid AF.

Are u going for the 35mm as well? If yes, hybrid AF doesnt work on 5r. To be honest, just get a 2nd hand 5n pair with the 35mm is better value. That is if u consider lens to be more important.

SEL35F18??? It does work with 5R hybrid AF, just need latest firmware update...
