Hi all just wondering if there is anyone who invest in the nikko sti etf offered under dbs bank? Is there a way i can see my gain thus far or at least show how much money i have put inside the fund thus far?
Because when i login to internet banking,i can only view the market value of my investment thus far,it doesnt show my gain/loss and neither does it show how much i have invested thus far.

u cant. u have to keep track of it urself. every month they would have sent u the price they have bought for that month, just add them all up and average out the price

for how much u have invested thus far, just track back to when u first started and count accordingly lor since every month the amount is the same

you just need to keep track of purchased amount, date of transactions and market value. plug all these numbers in excel and use the xirr function. you can calculate price returns.

add the dividends and date, you can calculate the total returns.

how many times have you varied? on what basis do you vary the amount? you are supposed to keep the amount constant. if not, you might as well dont sign up for such plans. just make ad hoc purchases from other brokers.

i believe you can still request your past statements from the bank at a fee.

agree with what Mike said.

but it's not that difficult to estimate whether you have earned or lost though, just that don't know the exact amount. if you have started 2-3 years ago, you are probably in the red or just barely break even since that time STI was above 3000 but it is below 3000 now.

Do you get statements (or e-statements) for your purchases and dividends each time? You can use those to tabulate your profits.

You can increase but not advisable to amend too significantly and frequently. Imagine if you increase the amount from $100 to $500 and you happen to do it at the market peak. Your average price will move up significantly.

If you have picked up STI ETF and if you have extra cash to invest, probably it is a good idea to consider another ETF for diversity. You can consider IWDA.
