I currently have a v old Nikon D90 and recently while shooting, the viewfinder just went blank after a shot and the shutter got locked. Was wondering if there’s an easy fix for this or do I have to bring down to Nikon? Any help is appreciated!

you may want to bring down to Nikon center for servicing.

Did you activate mirror lock-up?

Did you store your camera properly, such as a Dry Cabinet all these years?

It could be the connecting pins that require cleaning on the lens and camera. The D90 does not have the mirror lockup function if I am not wrong.

Anyway, try using the video function as well after cleaning the pins.
