This is the typical kind of build up the hype and delay tactic. Essentially, the product is not ready, but they just want to fan the excitement so that when the product launches, one will rush out to get one. I do think the Switch 2 may not be released until like May or later if they are only announcing more details on 2 April.

Is nintendo online subscription still required to backup save files from 1 switch to another switch?
