No display output: advice needed

Hi all the expert here

I’m facing issues with no display output. What I have checked so far, pass my GPU RTX2080 to my friend to try on his set up and the GPU is working well with display. Then I got a spare GPU 1660 from him and tried on my set up. Same thing, no display out on monitor.

the monitor is working as I have tried plugging into my work laptop and there is display.

Can the expert here help with this? Appreciate your help.

Is your dp/hdmi cable connected to the motherboard or GPU? If you have a GPU and you plug it into the motherboard there will be no signal on monitor

Hi, it’s plugged to my gpu. Suddenly no display when I tried turning it on. There is no GPU port on my motherboard

Are you able to check if psu are healthy ? Could be your psu can't supply enough juice to the gpu.

Cannot. Monitor just shown DP or HDMI not detected and going into standby

Try taking out 1 stick of ram then try to boot. Test with the other stick of ram as well. Since it's not the GPU, you should try to test every component 1 by 1 until you find out the cause. Try reseating the CPU and RAM and also inspect the motherboard to see if got any issue. Would be best if you got a 2nd system to check all these components individually

1) Reset BIOS by taking the battery
2) Test one ram at one time
Since you already tried with another gpu.
High chance could be faulty ram.

see if you can bring your motherboard, cpu and ram to test with your fren psu or not.

or check if your ram or cpu is compitable with your fren set up or not and see if you can test with him.

if not just go to a shop to ask someone to test for you.

Happened to me last year. No display every now and then and whenever I reseat the GPU. It successfully post with a single beep but no display. Need to turn on and off the PC several times in order to have something on the monitor. Endured it for half a year as I could not figure out the problem. One day, I got fed up and took my GPU for RMA showed no problem with GPU. Until one day, it totally could not power on. I troubleshoot and worst case scenario, it was my motherboard. I took the motherboard to RMA office and the technician was quick to show me scratches on my motherboard at the GPU backplate area. I've severed the circuitry cause I wasn't careful when slotting it into the gpu slot. RMA rejected and I had to buy a new motherboard. Not sure if it also happened in your case. The RMA technician told me that he has seen this problem with many customers. You may want to inspect your motherboard for any scratch across the main PCI-E slot.

Hi all experts! Thank you for your advice. Resolved by cleaning and re-sitting ram
