"Throw the first stone..."
I find it so fascinating that once the question of being paid by commissions, people tend to quickly point an accusative finger to those who are remunerated this way.
My question is, you mean those who are salaried or paid a fixed pay or huge bonuses will not be corrupted or do things not in the interests of others be it another colleague, a customer or friend?
C'mon peeps, if you are really that clean, please throw the first stone.
Commissions based jobs are just a way of compensation. Some industries do need that type of compensation. Its never an equal world, some of us will be paid more, some will be paid lesser and not necessary commensurate with the amount of hours one put in nor the intelligence we have.
If people wants to be corrupted, even a menial task job can lead a man astray to do the things he shouldnt be doing.
Every industry has its bad eggs eg. bad char kuey teow man, bad taxi drivers, bad politicians, bad doctors, lawyers, teachers...the least goes on. And the reverse is also true.
But all of us are out to make a living, most of us genuine in what we care to offer in terms of services or products.
Every Company has to survive, even volunteer organisations count their pennies before making certain decisions for the good of the Organisations they represent.
Unless we are Santa Clauses or Santarinas which dont exist anyway, lets keep our minds open, our mouths shut at the right time, our hearts pure and let our fellow citizens do what they ought to do coz they will only reap the rewards and consequences of the decisions they make or dont make.
