No show fee

Hi all, need some advice. Have a flight this Friday on SilkAir to Lombok, but due to recent earthquakes and volcanoes have decided not to go ahead with flight. Ticket was purchased on lowest fare and SilkAir currently not offering refund. However, they also say that they will charge cancellation/no-show fees. Understand because lowest fare so refund not possible but not really keen on the cancellation/no show fees

Am wondering if I just don’t show up on Fri will they charge the no-show fee to my card/account or only if I want to rebook a flight again? Or have people been successful in getting waiver of cancellation/no show fees and can share how to do so? Thank you!

If you sure you are not travelling, call them up to cancel asap.

They can refund the airport taxes. This can be used to offset the cancellation fees, so the amount will be less.

Normally they would charge no show fees.
If you are going to change dates, there would be a fee imposed.
Unless u r able to produce a medical memo to say that you are medically unfit to travel, then they might waive off the charges, and do a full refund for you.

Is it u have no MFA travel advisory? I have gotten full refund from SilkAir before for my bali flight last year.

No heard of any news that MFA informing people not go fly Lombok.
If MFA issue travel advisory, then can get refund already ...

All the ignorant replies. If you don't intend to utilise the ticket, just forfeit it. No show fees are charged when you make a new reservation on a ticket that has a no show.

Please note the difference between a revenue ticket vs award ticket, and reservation vs ticket.

Just go to the airport late and act crying like u really missed your flight. It is not no show, it is missing flight.
