I recently opened up my PC to clean out the dust that was inside.

The only thing i took out to clean was my GPU which i used a vacuum cleaner to try and suck out all the dust.

It was fine for a few days but only today did it become quite noisy, it sounds like something is constantly shaking.

I bought the card sometime in Mar/Apr 2012 and I'm thinking if i should RMA it since there is still some warranty left.

Is there anything that i can try and do before RMA-ing it? I heard RMA is quite tedious and will take quite a long while.

Thanks :(:(:(

Try shaking the card, see if anything is loose inside...

Maybe your vacuum cleaner to powerful le, accidentally pull out something, and thus making something else loose.

Shake the card. See anything droping out or being loose.

Check by manually turning the fan see if there is a weird sound coming from the fan.

If you really cannot find. Then just go to the distro and let them do the check. That will be more easy and ease your mind and countless sleepless night.

Don't touch it...

My best advise... until the sound comes back...

NEVER use a vacuum cleaner to suck on electronic for cleaning. It'll induce static electricity and shorten the lifespan

Ohk Ohk I won't touch it now since the sound is gone.

Will it spoil the electronics even if i don't directly touch it? Because i hovered the vacuum above the parts. I tried searching for canned air to blow the dust out but couldn't find it :(
