Time to grab your POWERCOLOR 290 or GEFORCE 780/Ti from X'mas.
AMD mishandled their latest lineup siol!

I've just spoken with HIS.

AMD are still only shipping full built reference cards and so far no plans to change until end of December / early January.

So we won't see a custom cooled card on shelf's at stockist until at least mid-end January at this rate.

Absolutely ZERO chance this year!

Got but a bit half arsse..either the Simlim shops act blur and try to eat up or AMD SGP never communicate properly so not all knew. It is a piece of paper with codes.

Unlike you buy from Amazon, whom they will just email you game codes after a few days from purchase. So simple and efficient and honest.

Can't wait for 290 card. Got the 280x instead.

A good 280x overclock to 1150-1200 will challenge 290x at 1080p for existing games like Bf4 and Ac4.

Be warned 290x got many users already kpkb about the clock throttling due to immature bios and drivers.

It may be for the better because 290-290x suffering black outs in games!

Now holiday period, the driver support may take some time to response, so next year, a new year all AMD programmers come back to work, support will be faster.

Likely to be driver issue. Anyway, mine works fine for BF4 and WOT.

Tiagong those with black screens some even need to underclock their Gpu to avoid it. Its totally random. Scary siol

Well, got 3yrs warranty so just send it back and RMA.....

While DOA is not so common here in SG, its very common oversea. but its still good compared to PS4.....over 10K users kana dead PS4.....

Hardforums is a bit older at 15/11, things change lor.
Who want to guess how much our good distros will mark up their non-ref DCII,TF4,WF cards?
