I was planning to get Xperia V but I have been reading about the many bad reviews via this forum and they were all issues with the bugs.. :(
How many of you experienced issues like the sleeping death with your Xperia V? :s11:

All make will have their own set of problem. It's all depend and No certain. No brand is prefect.
Xperia V is good. I still keep it even though had upgraded to xperia z. Overall it a good phone.
Just the charging port flap can be better.

The latest firmware update has solved the sleep of death bug so it is fine now.

My initial V had the sleep of death bug, but the replacement set I got from Sony has been perfect so far. But I already have a Z, so I'll be selling the (new) V here on HWZ.

3 months on. No SOD, no serious complaints. Variety of accessories may be limited.

Ok la, for the price and features, and whatever's packed in the phone. Though I must say it's a bit outdated since June might have a new Xperia model (and Sony did launch the new Z in Feb/March this year).

the V/TX was 2012 H2 flagship.

I bought Xperia V for my daughter (Sec 1)... The phone is actually quite good.. and it's now on jelly bean too.

The only complaint I have is the screen.. even though it is 1280x720.. somehow it doesn't bring out the sharpness and brightness.. a little bluish... maybe it is the LCD.... but still it is a great phone..

I am using Samsung Galaxy Note I.. the AMOLED screen is crispier.. IMHO

Yes but when you view the AMOLED for long period of time, your eyes will get tired no matter how dim you adjust your screen.

You will notice the difference when you view video or photo when the BRAVIA Engine kicks in as you do not need that sharpness when you viewing the homescreen etc, that helps to save on battery consumption too.

Its a great phone for 1 handed users, since its screen size is small enough. And with that, it fits nicely into pockets.
The only bad thing after months of usage is the weak battery life, relatively low volume speakers and the heat it produces when playing games and charging especially. So, the waterproof feature can be a double edge sword, if you look at it in this angle.

Just being random,
U will notice how terrible amoled is when u try to watch a video outdoor. The max brightness of s3 is equivalent to 25% of Xperia LCD screen. Amoled is only good when using indoor
