Hi all,

My Note 2 suddenly died on me - unable to power up or charge it. Have a few questions hope to get advices:
1) while trying to charge the phone, I hear faint 'beep-beep' sound coming from the handset but no LED indicating charging is taking place. Does the sound mean anything?
2) possible to recover the data (photos, videos, sms/WhatsApp chat histories etc) in the phone's internal memory?
3) worth it to repair the phone or retrieve the data? Roughly how much will such service cost?
4) recommend another value for money android phone (budget around $300+/-). Am considering Xiao Mi's Mi Max but is open to any other model.

Thanks in advance for any replies and advices.

My note 2 still alive. Got custom rom so at least still last for a bit longer. Battery is shot but can still get new one if needed. Perfect for use with kids as even if they throw here and there, you won't feel the heart pain
