Hi guys,
I will be running Photoshop Elements 15 and Premiere Elements 15 on my intended next notebook, for light photo and video editing mainly for social media stuff, so I don't need something blazing fast but at the same time not crawling and fans roaring at full speed all the time (like my current 1st-gen i5 HP Envy). I use CS6 on a desktop for higher-grade work.
Other than photo and video editing, I expect to use the notebook for Office, surfing and watching videos ... not a gamer.
I'm looking at something with 1 of the low-TDP CPUs so looks like it will be 1 of the ultrabooks, but would an i5 with a dedicated GPU (e.g. 1 of the ASUS UX3xx series) be better for the purpose than an i7 with Intel HD graphics? Or should it be the other way round i.e. processor power over graphics power?
Would there be any point to get a Macbook Air for this purpose? That's an i5 with Intel HD 6000 graphics yes?
