In NUS there's this stupid bidding system to allocate high demand modules. Wondering is there a similar system in NTU? How does NTU allocate modules where there are more students who want to take the module than there are vacancies?

for cores
First come first serve
If you faster you get the cores, if you slow you get crappier timings and stuff

for electives
you bid by preference (rank them from 1 to 5), school choose for you (based on preferences and vacancies available)
if you tio then good for you, if not try bidding during add drop period

No bidding, fastest fingers for cores
Mostly balloting for electives, except for first day of add drop, seniors get priority
