I have ported my old # from singtel to M1. I was issued with a new M1 sim card. The porting is successful but I noticed the M1 sim card physical number doesn't change to my old singtel number. Is this normal? Anyone has experience on it? Thanks alot

What do you mean "sim card physical number"? When you port your old #, you are only porting the phone number you share with your friends and colleagues (so that you keep the same number moving to a new network and don't need to update them with a new number). Any other number including the 16-digit SIM card number printed on the SIM card can change. It's like a SIM serial number so obviously it has to be different for a different SIM card...

Your phone number is NOT encoded in the SIM card. It is only known in the network level (M1). They just match your SIM identification with your phone number at their base stations.
