NUS Chem help

Heyo,
I'm a freshie in the faculty of science and my intended major is Chemistry. I'm still pretty confused about the CORS bidding system, which courses to bid for in each round and what courses to take in sem 1. Any seniors is able to share thier experience?

General rule of thumb in CORS

Freshies start at R1C

R1A/B/C => Core / Major Electives

2A/2B => UE/GE/SS

3A/3B => everything (if got space)

what courses to take in sem 1:
Check ur degree requirements, u shld be taking all the noob 1k mods 1st (mods that are pre-req to ur future modules)

Hmmm, I've been pre-allocated 3 core modules. I also have to take ES1002 as I got band 2 for QET. The question now is should I take a maths module to fufill my basic requirement or take a GEM? Or do I go ahead and take ES1002, MA1102R or MA1421 and a GEM? I don't know if 6 modules will be too much but ES1002 seems really slack

Last sem, i thought ES1102 is slack, so i did what u planning to do ... took the 6 mods and regretted. no matter how slack it is, u still have to put in time to do the course work, that will reduce the time needed for other mods.

And also, I advice u to read through the briefing slides on cors.
