Greetings all Computer Science students in NUS, I would like to know more before accepting any uni. I am looking at the Security branch of CS. Can anyone give me some information about it?

I read the website, you have to complete 6 elective to be considered for IT security. Question, which year we have to complete all electives and once we complete all required electives, we are automatically induced into IT security?

Now these are my question for now. It would be helpful if you have any experience or more knowledge to share about this track. I thank your respond in advance. :s13:

The theoretical aspect of the above. (With quite a bit of mathematical treatment)

Very different from the more practical oriented materials that you have come across in polytechnic modules (if u studied in one before) or industrial security certifications (the entry level one)
