Nvidia driver stops working and has recovered

Got this error every few minutes even when idle and cold boot up. Roll back a few versions of driver still the same. Google it and found lots of people complaining, tried a few solutions also no help. Anyone experience before and manage to solve it?

gigabyte 650ti, windows 8.1, rest of config on the right.

wait for nvidia to solve it lor.
meanwhile just uninstall and use the default windows drivers
for years the general impression that nvidia has better drivers than ati.
maybe marketing at work. because I have have issues with them back from the days of the GeForce 2 mx(took me over 5 different drivers before I managed to get a non-blue screen one). even my gtx 460 also took 2 tries to get it right. maybe i'm just unlucky, but my personal experiences don't endear me to nvidia

all I can say is, nvidia has good marketing---look at the fantastic profit they churned out over the past year.

until they can properly show me that there is a decent price/performance ratio with their cards that exhibit equal stability, I won't use their cards anymore.

Didn't know nvidia is so bad now, out of DIY screen for 4yr+. if know earlier will have gone for ATI.

Still can offload your green card and hoot the red one.

Bad experience for you,doesn't mean bad experience for everyone....I have no problems with either brand

had no problems with nvidia since day 1.
even now using a beta driver also dint give me any problem

Try testing card on another setup. if the same thing occurs means your card have problem and needs a one-to-one exchange RMA.

Had the same problems on my old GTX 460....

I guess is the card giving way...

My 560ti no such problems...

I suspected this. but i dun have another setup to test. but with so many reports about same problem, I can only assume it's software problem now.

Issue solved, set TdrLevel=0. it's more of a windows problem, affects both red and green camp.

but i don't read, found the solution:

open regedit, go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\GraphicsDrivers

Create new QWORD (if using 64-bit windows) or DWORD (if using 32-bit windows) with the name TdrLevel and set value=0.
