NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 3DMark FireStrike benchmarks

3DMark is reporting on similar clock frequency to GTX 1080, which is 1860 to 1870 MHz. Our results are based on three separate runs, so I think they are quite accurate.

GeForce GTX 1070 is slightly faster than GTX TITAN X, GTX 980 Ti and Fury X in 3DMark FireStrike. However such a small difference makes it impossible to predict whether GTX 1070 will offer similar performance in games.

time to sell your 980Ti's for 88.88$... :s13::s13::s13:
or Titan X for 99.99$...

synthetic benchmark is useless figures.

Ehhh I won't go so far as to say it's 100% useless lah. While it's true that synthetic benchmark numbers don't translate exactly into real world numbers, the difference won't be far off.

So I guess in the worst case scenario, the GTX 1070 will perform slightly worse than the Titan X, which is more than enough for me for 1440p gaming.

AMD and polaris can close shop already......

Not necessarily. It all depends on how AMD prices polaris and how big is the difference between the two. For many people, especially those gaming on 1080p monitors, the 1070 can seem overkill and the Polaris more attractive but again, depending on the price.

Now still too early to dismiss AMD totally.

AMD always aim value for money market, not compete with pure performance.

Let's guess how many on garage sales will still try to sell their 980 Ti for $599

EDIT: Oh wait, is $700 to $800 lol, joke.

So GTX 1070 is equivalent to GTX 980 Ti and priced at MSRP US$379 (S$522).

So what is the expected price at Sim Lim Square?

Those who bid for GTX 980 Tis prolly need a video card RIGHT NOW and RIGHT HERE to play their The Division games. So wouldn't mind paying $700 lor coz they are on Intel iGPUs.

$700 is nothing to them.

They should also buy two GTX 980 Ti at $700 each and SLI them. Get titanic performance at $1400.
