Occupational Therapy - advice pls

I've been wanting to pursue Occupational therapy for a long time, and I'm finally able to apply for SIT occupational therapy this year .. but I have a sinking feeling that I won't even be called up for an interview

Should I pursue OT overseas like Malaysia? Can't do Australia etc. too expensive for me..
But I don't know if Singapore will recognise a Malaysian degree??

Educated in Australia and returning to SG? U planning to work in SG or return to Australia? Here you need a min of Diploma to be a Occupational Therapist. But U can see from the accredited list it range from Diploma to Bach to Masters!

i actually don’t have one, i did my schooling in australia, so i’m applying with overseas qualifications.. Dont know whether SIT is keen about that tho..

Yes, did most of my primary school and all of high school in australia, but parents cant afford the international fees here for uni, so we are all moving back to SG. I’ll probably work in SG for a while but i might move back to australia in the future..
i saw the list.. Am i better off going to one of the unis on the list and pay more or go to a malaysian uni with cheaper fees but have to take testing in order to work in SG?

if U plan on returning to OZ then u want to make sure the uni you plan to study in malaysia is accredited in OZ. which Malaysia Uni U looking at? some Uni do not take students into the OT program. go HK fees also lower, unless U malaysian

Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT), in collaboration with Trinity College Dublin, offers a 1-year degree-conversion programme for NYP graduates. A degree programme in Occupational Therapy can also be pursued at overseas universities.

U can certainly go this route if u are comfortable with exams

Therapists from the regulated allied health professions (Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy and Speech-Language Therapy) whose qualifications are not found on the List of Recognised Qualifications can take and pass the relevant Qualifying Examination (QE) to be eligible for Conditional Registration.

Australia only recognises their own OT qualification .. so everyone else who got overseas qualification no matter where will still have to be accredited to work in OZ.

unfortunately im not PR, otherwise would have been able to afford the fees ..

I'm looking at perdana uni in Malaysia, international fees quite reasonable.
Also .. there is no more poly route for OT, they have fazed they out since SIT doing bachelor now..
