Faeland is a Metroidvania Action Adventure RPG video-game in pixel art style, inspired by the nostalgic 8-Bit classics, with a modern charm for all generations. It is currently in development for PC, Mac and Linux, with Xbox One, PS4 and Nintendo Switch console ports as Stretch Goals on this Kickstarter campaign!

In Faeland as the player, you can freely explore the open world, traveling from one town to another, talk to friendly NPCs, learn about the game’s lore and get useful tips, commerce valuable items to improve your economics, buy new equipment and consumables and do quests to acquire useful loot while progressing in the main story. Some of the areas you need to traverse are challenging forests, caves, dungeons, castles and more. You also have to acquire new abilities and special items to gain access to previously inaccessible areas and paths. The combat style is customized through your equipped weapons, choose from knives, daggers, swords, axes, spears and bows, all with different attack animations, speeds, strengths and effects.

All copies will be sent out upon release. The estimated release date is December 2019. The planned platforms are Windows, Linux and Mac OSX.

If the console Stretch Goal gets funded, we will update the campaign to reflect the console deliverables and methods to receive the game copies.

Currently $10 + tiers will get the PC/Mac/Linux game, $15 and above will receive the console option.

The $25 and $50 + tiers respectively will receive Kickstarter exclusive versions of the game with bonus equipment items.

Dear Faelanders!!!!

We have such incredible news to share with you!!! As some of you already know Faeland's campaign has been 100% funded, and in one week!!!!!!! WOW!!! This has only been possible because of your constant support and love, and help spreading the word about this project we all love, which has also given us the fortune to bring all of us together!!! Words are not enough to express our gratitude. Let's take a moment to celebrate and congratulate everyone that has taken a part in this campaign!

Today this also brings us to a very exciting moment we all have been looking forward to: the Stretch Goals, which if reached, will allow us to make Faeland even better! We have plenty of features on this list that will complete and improve it in many ways, starting with the Character Creator, one of our favorite features to add to the game, which requires a good amount of implementation and new assets.

We will also be aiming for adding the option of a Female Hero through the Character Creator. This is a separate Stretch Goal because she needs to be drawn entirely from scratch, including all her animations and outfits!!

We will want to tackle the NEW Game + a feature requested by backers many times to add a great replayability value to Faeland. We will aboard this through creating different paths in the Metroidvania world, forcing the player to face more challenging enemies since the beginning, and mixing the locations of equipable items, abilities, etc. making it a rewarding new experience!!

Also among the Stretch Goals, we have what we all want most: Console Porting!! As we have mentioned previously we will need to team up with an experienced porting partner to work on the console versions while Faeland is in development. This goal is placed near the top of the list because it's a costly process. However, we hope that with your help we can make it happen!

On another note and as per many requests we received, we have just added a New Reward Tier The Treasurer that gives you access to all the digital content plus a second copy of the game, and goes for pledges of $45 or more!!

Our gratitude and excitement is beyond words! It has been such an inspiring experience since we started the campaign last Tuesday. Having reached our funding goal will now allow us to focus on Faleand's development full time and on building it the way we want it to be!
