Here’s how Premier League clubs qualify for European competitions:


  • UEFA Champions League (UCL): The top four teams in the Premier League qualify automatically. However, a fifth team can qualify if England secures an extra spot based on UEFA’s club coefficient rankings. Additionally, if a Premier League club wins the Champions League or Europa League, they qualify for next season’s UCL regardless of their league position.
  • UEFA Europa League (UEL): The fifth-placed team qualifies, unless England gets an extra UCL spot, in which case the sixth-placed team qualifies instead. The FA Cup winners also earn a Europa League place.
  • UEFA Europa Conference League: The EFL Cup winners qualify for the playoff stages. If the EFL Cup winners finish in the top five (or top six, depending on UCL qualification), their spot goes to the next-highest ranked team not already qualified for Europe.

This season, the Premier League is set to have six clubs in the Champions League due to Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur reaching the Europa League final—one of them will qualify for the UCL by winning the tournament.

Even later if lose to WH its ok, its AMORIM strategy to win EUROPA cup, if they lose EUROPA, wonder what excuses will be, can claimed "we were a better team"...... :s13: :s13: :s13:

The money they spent in last 10 years the club should be winning every trophy including world cup

However their fan base is going heaven with a 16th 17th place finish in BPL plus Europa final spot
