Miss Zhou is an activist that flip flops between the parties.
She was aligned to the KMT from between 1969 to 2000. She is generally leaned towards ex president Li Teng Hui. Thus following 2000 when Chen Shui Bian came into power and Li being expounded from KMT, she left KMT and joined the TSU - a break away of the KMT made up of Li's followers and Ms Zhou is one of the founding member of the TSU. Then is 2012 when Ma was re-elected she switched back to KMT but when Ma's political ratings dive to his rock bottom, she vacated KMT and became an independent. She is very much aligned to ex president Li's TSU. Her god is Li Teng Hui.
TSU's principal direction is the moving of Taiwan being and independent state and not a part of China as per the Taiwanese constitutions. 国与国关系propagated by the then 蔡英文when she handles the China-Taiwan foreign relations with the PRC.
The TSU a break away faction of the KMT knew exactly what is inscripted in their constitution.
She was infuriated for the fact that she was left on her own when the other TSU's activist were being detained in the Police HQ fore questioning and entertianed to high tea till the meeting was over so her coverage of the activists creating a rackus which would give the party political mileage was foiled. Next, her line of questioning which she wanted to ask the PRC spokesman was to wreck the purpose of the Taiwanese president and the PRC chairman trying to develop and that is a One China each own interpretations and to move forward on a commercial and trade relations and not to be turning it political which cannot be resolved for many many years to come.
What she wanted is to pursue the directions that China and Taiwan should treat each other as two countries which will infuriate the PRC regime.
Her line of questioning she can reserve it to ask President Ma when she returns and she knew that she will achieve no results as the ROC constitution rest on the Republic of China being the legitimate government of the whole of China.
Incidentally, the floor knew her agenda and refuse to take her questioning in the media interview and she was employed by 联合报before and she was trying to influence the reporters from 联合报 to ask the questions along the political lines that she was trying to pursue which the Lian He Bao reporters are not falling for it.
In as far as the Singaporean authorities are concerned, they are not about to get involved with the Taiwanese breakaway factions agenda. Singapore recognised the PRC - Taiwan relationship based upon the ROC constitution and the American's recognition of the two states and would provide the venue for their peaceful negotiations of two states which are both our friends and will not walk away from this principles and will not allow the Taiwanese factions internal agendas to be taken to our centre stage.
You could image what Ms Zhou would be doing if the TSU activists were not drag to the SPF HQ for "high tea". It would be a massive embarrassments for Singapore as we would be found to be not capable of staging an important international meeting like this.
These actions by Singapore scores us full marks and give confidence for foreign countries to stage important meetings here.
Ms Zhou would appear great but not within her Taiwan. Most of the people in Taiwan knew her and her political inclinations and in Taiwan's political factions, the TSU is a fading entity. It was a common believe that when Li Teng Hui dies, TSU would become history and dissolved as the party has not gained any political mileage since its inception as even 蔡英文 wouldn't back the 两国论 anymore.
