FAQ
1. SD card expansion slot can only support up to 32GB (credit: yattan)
2. A2 Airmouse when connected to X7 will have the audio channel to the airmouse, need to set it in settings/sound back to the default. (waiting for minix to fix this)

Have used the stock ROM with A2 airmouse and encountered system hang on me at least 4 times. The wireless seemed to be "unstable" as one moment I have 4 bar signal, next moment I get disconnected and unable to reconnect to the APs. Anyone encounters the same issue?:s11::s11:

Try update the firmware, they fixed quite a number of stuffs.

I don't use wireless, I use direct connection.
So far so good for me.

I'm on Strauzo's Nexus SDK2 ROM. Really top notch in terms of stability. Think i will stick to it until there's an ultimate release that

The X7 boasts dualband wifi but the bandwidth cap is at 65Mbps for both bands so it's better to go direct if possible for smooth streaming. But if that is not an option, if you rooted the X7, there's an app on playstore that allegedly increase the power to the antennae boosting the signal capture. Not entirely sure if it lives up to its description but thus far i haven't had noticeable wifi issues. I cannot remember the name off hand right now.

I gave up on the airmouse, and my current rom doesn't support it so got myself a Logitech k400r. so much more convenient.

I've reflashed to the latest firmware (didn't know have to use PC to flash instead of copying the rom and insert into SDCard) and still encounter wifi instability issues. The wifi signal strength I'm getting is avg -64dBm. At least now I don't encounter system hang. Will try out a high gain antenna tonight and see how it performs.
Another question I have is, if I completely shutdown the system, can the A2 airmouse trigger the box to boot up? (as I dont' seem to be able to do it).

Thanks.

No problem with my wifi, on the latest rom. But my x7 and my router are really close to each other so I guess maybe not too much of a problem to me.

Your 2nd question answer should be no. Once completely shutdown you can't use the A2 to boot up, have to manually press button.

After reflashed to new ROM/firmware, how can I restore back my apps and settings?

I'm trying to avoid going through the hassle of installing apps again.
