On Photos:

Nice to have them all on iclouds, $0.99 or SGD1.28 per month for 20gb is indeed ok. Although if I wanna upload all my photos over the years using the 200gb plan, it might not be rational.

I just hope Photo's organisation will be better, faster etc. There are too many random pictures for me i can't really clean up now.. Sigh.. Hope there is a place that allows us to predefine apps' album, like a dedicated Whatsapp album in Photos

Downside of this update probably is battery life.

What is your take?

They did mention that they're developing a solution for photos and it'll only be out will be early next year.

now you want to be so specific over tiny details then why apple did even patent something as ambiguous as a shape?

How do you imagine phones to look like before 2007?

Does any thin laptop maker even use a wedge design like what MBA use?

Existing users are specific over tiny details because we are using it on long time basis and can appreciate the incremental updates on software to simplify process. And good knowing that macs that are over 6 years are still supported, and phones over three years old are supported as well.

Man, I just dropped by in this thread to catch up on WWDC updates since I'm no longer at the age where I feel like staying up to watch this stuff anymore, and... ok I'll bite. I use all 3 OSes on a daily basis - WP, Android, iOS, and have been doing so for about a year. The crap you wrote above may have been true in the early days of Android, but it hasn't been for a while. The S3 LTE gets Kitkat. That's a 2 year old phone. The Note 3 has had near monthly updates and has only gotten better. Not to mention the Nexus phones get all updates almost as soon as Google launches them.

Does this mean that the Android > iOS? No. Does this mean that iOS > Android? F**k no. You fellas who only use 1 OS and don't know crap about what else is out there really should not be posting anything about any OS that you're not using. I like Apple devices, but they aren't perfect (my iPad Air still has intermittent problems with AirPlay that my Note Pro never gets when using Miracast), and my god the userbase is full of idiots.

Sony Xperia SP is a one year old phone then how? Since you are so good at assuming which phone you buy now can upgrade next year and which phone cannot. The past can see history so easy now let see now how you predict the future.

Laugh out loud. Out loud. Actually the first LOL I think it refers to typical sms chat language where people just slap "lol" in texts. The OL probably refers to the fact that you can now send voice and video iMessage texts.

I think you too harsh with your comment here. I'm a user of all four OS on daily basis. iOS on my ip5 & 5s, WP on my Lumia 1020, Andriod on my Xperia Z & Z1, lastly BB10 on my BB Q10.
There pro and con for all different OS however apple did a very good job of bringing all together into a device. Be it innovation or "copy" , it just benefit is as a consumer. So why we bashing each other over this when we just the end user?? Just enjoy the device.
The support so far apple had been the best as the rest is slow and does not last YES you are right that your Samsung is getting a lot of update but it just minor update to solve bugs that's all. Here we talking about major one like from iOS 7 to 8. Jellybean to kitkat so does your Andriod still get this kind of update for 3-4 years ?? I doubt so.
Anyway there no best , prefect phone in the world. Just the one that suit u best in your lifestyle. Like me my work and personal actual using different phone as the need is not the same.

It still puzzled me after so many years of iOS and Android released in the market people still comparing and complaining on who copies who on those features.

Think about it if there wasn't iOS in the first place, you don't even have android to begin with. If there wasn't android, iOS will not have gone this far today. Without Siri, where is Google Now and Cortana? Without AppStore, will you have Playstore and Windows Store? Just few to name.

Everything will come to a equilibrium state after some times and it no longer important on who copies who's features. It is how those features are been implemented to give us a seamless experiences that matter the most.

You can't deny that the continuity of the OS X Yosemite and iOS 8 going to be a mind blowing user experience. How seamlessly the integration of the mobile and desktop experience that none of the current hardware and software makers are able to come out with except Apple.

The true copycat to me is the Samsung with its latest fingerprint sensor. To me they are just rush to compete with Apple without taking into the user experience. Some of their ideas are novelty but most are half baked to end user.

If you think android is far more superior then just head over. The grass is always greener outside. And indeed android does have a green robot.

iOS 8 is headed in right direction but jeeez Beta 1 is unusable for most part at this time ... rapid battery drain and whatsapp crashes in all messages ... best to wait for 1-2 more betas ... i reverted to 7.1.1 to get my phone working again and I am a dev ... LoL

Let's not indulge in the who-is-copying-who argument because in the end it is the consumer who gains from having access to new features.

Having said that, Apple's hypocrisy must also end. Suing companies for basic features such as slide-to-unlock, overscroll bounce, etc. is really anti-consumer. Apple has been the pioneer in introducing many great UI features. But others do too, as evidenced by iOS 8's adoption of many features that other companies pioneered. So it would be unfair to only take but not give.
