Old gen Processor Advice needed

I currently have 2500K in one rig and 3770 in another...


Hyperthreading aside, and both running same clock speed of 4.1GHz


Which provides better gaming performance?


Also, if HT is included which is better?


3770 @ 4.1GHz with HT
2500k @ 4.4GHz w/o HT

If the game utilize HT then yes the 3770 will have the upper hand. If it isnt, both of them would run about the same performance. Not much till it become too noticeable.

well if u playing CPU intensive games more speed is better. but if gpu intensive, still well have a good boost to gaming as well.

well still depends on the games u playing, i would say if gpu intensive games and u are playing i5 2500k OCed should be better.

Because there are very shittily coded games like Ass of Singularity that actually require 4 CPU threads to run properly and can use 6 to 8 threads can't remember.

yes. max speed on 4 cores 4.1. max on single 4.3

From my exp....single core or multi core does not have significant impact on gaming........

But...GPU has significant impact on the gaming.....and last but not least...your ISP also.......nowadays most of the game need somehow to be 'online'.....so for me, GPU and ISP are the most important in modern gaming......
