Online check in question

I'm flying on SIA next month to HK. The ticket is so cheap(I think la lol) that I can't choose my seat,have to pay to choose a seat... tic bought via search of skyscanner but direct from SIA website...not a big deal to me for a 4 hours flight...

Will I be able to do an online check in since seat isn't assigned?

Had no idea... last flew SIA in 2015 to Perth. Before that was in 2010 also to HK

I just assumed U could choose seats.

perhaps business not doing well...
2 years back the business was very bad, hence they have lots of good promo...

I've booked economy lite, will the seat selection apply if I check in 48 hours before departure? My current flight does not have free seat selection.

early online maybe changes sit together is high.. however u can request before boarding the plane & go to the counter & tell them.. they will arrange for u by asking single traveler to exchange seat with them.

Maybe u can choose when u check in online.... I noticed this same thing though- book on Expedia sometimes have to pay for seat sometimes it’s free

U may select your seats 48 hours before departure. if ur booking more than one pax, you guys would sit together ...

yup, u would be able to see the seating configuration using your booking reference number . or u can sign in to ur krisflyer a/c if u have entered your krisflyer membership no. into your booking ...

One thing to note, if you rebook after your existing booking is gone, there might be chances where the fare has already gone up ...

For flights less than 14 days before departure, you would not be able to use offline payments. If you are flying, you have to make payment immediately thru cc or vouchers ...

If you have made a booking, selected the seats, if you have paid any payments , despite selecting offline payments options, your flight booking would be gone within 48 hours (pay at sam or singpost) to 5 days (pay online )...
