What's the difference between current and savings?

Can someone sic the compilation of all interest rate of various banks? I lost the link to that blog

I think mainly current is lower interest + cheque book, whereas savings would be higher interest without cheque book. But nowadays I think generally interest rates are low, and some savings accounts do have cheque books.

both interest rates are usually the same.

current allows cheques to be issued and a mthly fee is charagble for that account.

savings has neither of the above.
