Optiplex 3010 Upgrade

I got a cheap Optiplex 3010 PC and looking to upgrade it. I'm not into advanced gaming, but want to use it to learn software etc.,
I already install Ubuntu Linux on it and it boots very fast compared to Windows 7 which I have already on the PC. I updated BIOS, latest version is from 2018.
Any one done previously? Any one try beyond 16GB memory?
