Pay a forwarder. That's what most of us do if they don't ship directly to SG. Unless you're buying from Amazon.de, I also couldn't find a trustworthy forwarder for Germany.

SLS will nvr get stocks for this as it is not mainstream monitor. Sales of it wun be same as selling mainstream monitors. If u want it, go pre order with ASUS and wait for them to bring it over.

The asus account in this forums is like super inactive, lol.

And looking at how many people complain about the preorder, taking months to arrive.. I would have gone BenQ but their warranty is only 1 year locally?

benQ - no

thinking should get one dell monitor first and wait further into the year when gysnc monitors come out and get those instead. but then dying to try the 144hz -.-

Vg248qe does not come with gsync. Its either you buy the module (est. US$169) seperately and ownself install or get a gsync vg248qe (will be different model no.)

Amazon no more selling this model liao as it will be replaced by the gsync vg248qe.

If you are dying to try 144hz, go get the qnix qx2710 dvi-d model, which can OC till 110hz. But your gpu must be good enough. At least SLI,xfire to reach 1440p, 110fps@110hz.

Quoted by jaycus, shipping from amazon would cost $410 which is technically $529-$410=$119 cheaper but warranty wise I'm not sure. Went to newstead @vivo today and got myself one.

Yes the problem is warranty. If there's dead pixel or whatsoever, can singapore Asus do 1 to 1? Anyway, what kind of free gift do they gave?

also isit g-sync or have to buy separately?

Hi,

G-sync sets and DIY kit not in Singapore yet.

Also I have heard that Asus don't cover G-sync modified sets, but that was from America, not sure how it is here in Singapore. But if you get the kit yourself, maybe when you want to claim warranty, you could just remove the kit and then rma it. Well who knows :p If you never ever experienced tearing then I think G-sync also not that important for you, like me(or maybe i just don't know what tearing is), but still going to get it when it comes out, the kit that is. :)

And if G-sync does come out it would probably cost 2xx more since that is the cost of it in the states if I am not wrong $200 for the kit.

Well if you're interested in this monitor without G-sync you can go to Newstead at SLS, they just called me to tell me that stocks for this monitor have arrived.
