We (family of 3 adults, including 2 seniors) are going to Osaka on the first week of December, mainly for sightseeing and food. Will stay in Osaka and travel to Kyoto, Kobe and himeji.
Would like to seek experts here advice on where to stay in Osaka so that it would be convenient to travel out to Kyoto and Kobe, as well as from kansai airport.

You can try Namba or Umeda area. Both are quite easily accessible via train. If the elderly can’t walk too much, then perhaps staying around Umeda, it’s connected to JR Osaka station. Both areas have direct trains to Kansai airport.

Thanks thwysg. Will look for hotels at the osaka stations area.
Is it too early to book one now or should i wait till nearer to December? sorry to ask as have not book hotels in Japan before.
Anyone has any recommendation for hotels around osaka station area ( not exceed $300 per night for 3pax).
Thanks.

Location of hotel Kinki seems good. but was not able to book as it seemed one of the day within the period we choose was not available.
will look for other hotel nearby.
Thanks.

Maybe you can check out this new Hotel Hankyu RESPIRE OSAKA opening in end of Nov, from official site, triple room price is still within ur budget, location is almost perfect.

yes as others have said, consider just namba or umeda area.

these are the 2 best places in terms of accessibility to other cities outside of osaka as well as plenty of shopping and food choices.

i personally prefer airbnb as i can get to wash my clothes.

but please choose hotels if you plan to stay in multiple outside of osaka so that you can get to store your luggage before or after you check into the hotel.
