The Ong family controlling OTS Holdings has made an offer of 17 cents to buy out other shareholders and to privatise the company.
OTS, which manufactures sausage and other meat products, was listed in 2021 at 23 cents.
The offer price of 17 cents is a 27.8% premium over the volume weighted average price as of Sept 7.
As of Sept 8, via various entities or direct holdings, the Ongs and their concerted parties already control 81.37% of the company.
The offerors note that trading volume of OTS shares has been "relatively low" and that there is no foreseeable need to tap public equity markets.
"The costs and administrative burden associated with maintaining a public listing do not commensurate with the benefits to the group," reads OTS's SGX announcement.
