Starting this thread to find information and for edmw bbfa to share experience. I was inspired by the viagra thread where there were a lot of very useful and non trolling responses for anyone too shy to go see a dr.

For a bb like me I have been reading up on these 2 drugs with interest. The oral version seems easier for me to take. Question to anyone who is on the drug

- How to get it? Does any GP doctor have it? Will they prescribe based on your bmi? I am bmi 30 so does that qualify.
- How much does it cost? Will polyclinic have it?
- Also whats your experience taking it? Any side effects? Lose how much weight in what period?

Lose weight the proper way, not through pharmaceuticals. Way too many cases of life threatening side effects.

Even simple research on social media site twitter will reveal more uncensored hard truths than googling does these days. Reminder that Alphabet, the parent company of google, shares the same shareholders as big pharma.

As long as you are overweight, private clinics can prescribe it. I got mine from a clinic at Camden Medical Centre, S$420 for 1mg pen.

Usually the doctor will start you off with 0.25mg for the 1st week, then 0.5mg for 2nd week, then 1mg for 3rd week, and so on.

The maximum recommended dosage by the manufacturer is 2mg per week; https://www.novomedlink.com/diabete...ng-administration/dosing-and-prescribing.html

0.25mg and 0.5mg had no effects on me. I only started being able to eat less from 1mg onwards, that’s when I started losing some weight.

I still crave of KFC and unhealthy food now, but Ozempic helped me to feel full after a few bites.

So instead of eating 3-piece chicken previously, I can stop after 1-piece now.

In summary, Ozempic is great if you have problems controlling your mouth.

Reminder: always take long term medicine under medical supervision (meaning being monitored by a doctor)

I eat one meal a day for 4 years.
Lost 1/5 of my weight in a year then no more dip.

Some said weight will bounce back easily.
I tried eating more again, drink coke, etc.
Did not bounce back either cause my stomach can't use to eating so much anymore.

Biggest effect could be drop of metabolism, so I suggest supplement with multi vitamins

Those are some psychotic drugs to make you eat lesser, you can do so yourself. Just take smaller steps like drop one meal or whatever first. You won't die not eating, it's your habits and mentality that made you eat more than necessary.

A fat guy ever fast for 300 over days and there were no side effects. For a bbfa, you can easily survive a week. :o

Ozempic users see increased muscle loss and once these muscles are gone, it's very hard to get them back

Someone once came up with the theory that all of us have a homeostatic weight that our bodies decide is "best" for us, and not "ideal" weight that we want

Hence, it may be hard to lose weight below that level without seriously compromising our health

Anyway, metabolism can be "maintained" through strength training and HIIT workouts

actually to feel full just eat protein rich foods like lean chicken, tofu etc. there's no need to eat medicine to lose weight.
Eat healthy fats too

That would help us feel full faster and keep us full for longer ;)

Used to use ozempic for few months, lost few kg and hit plateau. Experienced vomitting in public few times due to eating a bit more. It’s not sustainable.

practicing calorie deficit and strength training is more sustainable and have better result, which I’m doing now for more than 1 year. Lose much more fat compared to using ozempic.

calorie deficit here can be achieved with intermittent fasting and take replacement meal with whey protein shake only on one of the meals per day. It works.
