Hi im new to camera. i owe a compact camera at the moment and thought of getting the gx7 when i first saw it. and even more keen to get it when i saw the reviews online. i'm more into food photography. anyone knows how much is it currently selling now? and where to get a better deal? advisable to buy at courts?

and going forward.. i just notice that this gx7 is not weather resistance.. does it mean i will have to get a dry box? and anyone here can recommend a camera if i'm not taking about gx7. is sony rx100ii ok?

drybox is for prevent humidity affecting yr camera or other equipment. if u wan portability yet able to change lens go for GX7 else RX100 is good enough for most uses since u say u are new.

does this mean i have to get a dry box if i were to purchase gx7?

Do not confuse weather resistant cameras with dry box.

- Weather sealed cameras means they can be used in wet conditions.

- Dry box are for keeping cameras from excessive humidity
