Panasonic GX8

Hi guys. Why is there not much discussion about this Panasonic Lumix GX8?

I am actually torn between a Gx8 and G85.

Mind enlightening me if they are good cameras to get? I see tons of Canon and Nikons being sold in Carousell. I am not sure if it is a good thing to buy a panny if i want to buy a 2nd hand lenses.

Spec wise I think they are similar enough that it wouldn't make too much of a difference in day to day shooting I guess. Though If you ask me I'd go for the GX8 with the larger grip and the fully articulating screen.

There are lots of canon and nikons probably because comparatively, the lenses are cheaper and more available than m43s

1st thing is to decide on a system first especially if you are looking invest in additional lens. It depends on what you want in your camera system

E.g. I chose M43 because it gives me sufficient quality without having to lug around big and heavy camera+lenses. It also helps that Olympus & Panansonic M34 lenses are interchangeable.

I use a GX7 with Pany 12-32mm F3.5~5.6+ Oly17mm F1.7 on my travels.

Back to your question, ask yourself do you want a range finder body or or a mode traditional DSLR style body. My priority is compact size so range find style for me and it's less conspicuous for street shooting.
