2) TPL popular no need to run? Then muscle their way in 2015 for what? WP got say hor, that they will come back to macpherson after losing. In the end, diam diam. Anyway i brought this macpherson case up because you say WP never abandoned voters.

Proof that it is just a power thing to stop other oppo from entrenching in their preferred areas. Ppl say they PAP bully. WP also bully the smaller oppo like NSP.

Alamak. By not letting us down, I'm referring how they've voiced out, on our behalf, in the Parliament lah: They had so far disagreed with what we (ok at least me) disagree with, eg population, Oxleygate, reserved EP, pofma (btw pofma per se is fine, but not in the way ruling party defines it), etc.

I am remember reading about it.And the reason they gave for bringing him in 2001 was for diversity of views that would challenge the then PAP. Dun think he came from underprivleged background given he was in ACS in the 60s/70s.

Which brings to the point, what makes you think the likes of Jamus or HTR will not change their tune when they are in the policiy making roles.

That is why it is fair to ask the current wp to say what they actually intend to do should they be in power instead of playing the underdog who just wanna ask questions.

Why is there a need to ask? Lky already said it all. Once an opposition has enough power, they would want to form a government. Fair enough. To prevent a repeat of pap ownself check ownself, we must have a 2 party system for the government to have checks and balances.

A dynasty is only as good as it's kings. Once the wise and virtuous kings are gone, decline is inevitable, like the pap now. That's why there must be checks and balances from a 2 party system to keep the main driver on the ball..
