Parking in Phuket

Hi guys,

Will be renting a car during my upcoming Phuket trip. However, I could not find much information on the parking charges and parking lots available around Phuket areas.

Does anyone know if it is easy to find parking lots in Phuket, around places such as Old Phuket town and Phuket Weekend market? And what are the parking rates in those areas?

Also, if possible would like to know of any driving tips in Phuket!

Most parking are free. But some need to pay to the person standing around the parking lots. Driving Phuket is easy. If you drive in JB often, Phuket is a breeze. Best thing about renting a car in Phuket is going to different beaches and night market own time own target.

Traffic in Patong is horrible. Avoid dinner time.

Parking wise (in Patong), spend 100 baht - buy an ice cream or 2 in Jungceylon and get free 3 hours parking. If more than 3 hours, i think parking is quite expensive.

More worth to park at the Kee, beside Jungceylon, about 100 baht for whole day parking.

Do not ever rent car from avis !! Car is dirty and when return car that time they will find the even smallest dent they can find ! Mine is under insurance so lucky cannot scam me. So beware !!
