Part Time Studies at SPF(FAQ)

Hi all,
Currently i haven't served NS yet but thinking of signing on as a police officer in SPF(5years if sign). However, i would also like to further on my studies during this bond period as i would like to have other options open to me in the future, instead of just tying down to the police force. Can i take up part time degree courses during this period and not have any additional extended bond? To those who have experiences in SPF, could you please share it with me. Will really appreciate it. Thank you.

You sign on does not guarantee SPF give you sponsorship for part time studies.

If SPF sponsor you course sure have extra bond.

However you can always take up part time courses on your own cost (money) without any bond since it is not SPF business.

Regardless of sponsorship or self paid part time studies, your duty over right your leave for exams, normal lesson & etc.
