passport validity questions urgent

Hi if passport at time of travel left 6 mths to expiry will be stop from leaving airport? 2nd thing if now book air tickets using current passport no. When new passport renew will it still carry current passport no or given new no? Thanks

1) high chance airline may deny you boarding; also got chance that immigration in the foreign country will turn you away

2) new passport number; call the airline to change, it should be free.

Most airlines will deny boarding if your passport does not meet the destination/transit country's immigration requirements.

I was at Gatwick using my Singapore passport to travel to Geneva but was denied boarding as my last date of entry into the Schengen area exceeded 90 days. I had to show the boarding gate staff my Norway-issued residence card before they let me go through. So better play safe with this kinda things.
